Before last Tuesday’s UN general assembly and the ban on Ukrainian grain imports by Hungary, Slovakia and Poland, Ukraine enjoyed a romantic political, military, financial as well as emotional support from its neighbour, Poland.
Something Russia could only dream of.
However, this romantic relationship became sour three to four months ago after the trio of nations decided to turn their backs on Ukraine by banning its grain imports.
One would ask. What happened? Well, the answer is very easy; when desperate times come, for everyone, the priority is one’s children; the rest is secondary.
So Poland, Slovakia and Hungary chose to put their children first and left their sister Ukraine out in the cold.
After the death of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, Ukraine found Poland as a site to dump their cheap grain.
This did not sit well with Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, all three of which arrived at the conclusion that protecting their farmers from cheap Ukrainian grain was paramount.
I would guess that there was a great moment of silence amongst the trio, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
The moment of silence however was not in solidarity with those who are perishing in the much-anticipated counter-offensive, but to answer a very pertinent question amongst themselves: Who will start the ban.
The trio seemed confused initially, but became baptised in one mind; ban Ukraine. How did this sit with Zelensky?
For Zelensky, what appeared to have been a dream, became a harrowing reality, crashing hopes of making inroads in any area since war began, and destroying his faith in allies previously believed to have had unlimited benevolence toward Ukraine.
In fact, the situation was so dire for Zelensky, he found he could not contain his emotions. Failing to employ diplomacy, Zelensky tried to throw his toys out the cot by accusing Poland of betrayal. This only escalated matters, and Ukraine being hit by a steely Polish response, withdrawing arms support as well.
The Hungary and Ukraine relationship had already been sour, with Ukraine used to being treated as a step sister.
And Poland and Slovakia, are supposed birds of the same feathers; why should they dump her in the cold? Especially during difficult times when grain initiative has failed?
Ukraine, deciding it was beyond her limits, reported them to the Uncle Sam-led business court (WTO), where little support was offered.
At the U.N general assembly, President Zelensky, bombarded the trio into emotional oblivion, prompting a swift response from Poland’s president Andrzej Duda, his words were as a volcanic eruption, carpet-bombing Zelensky into a psychological spin; even going to greater length prophesying his demise with the following phrase: “Zelensky is a drowning man.”
This is what Zelensky said, prompting a volcanic response: The Ukrainian head of state claimed during his UN speech that “some of our friends in Europe play out solidarity in a political theatre, turning the issue of grain into a thriller.”
You see how dangerous anger is? It turned the Polish president into a prophet, and in one of his visions, whether it was night or day, he saw Zelensky drowning.
According to prophet Duda, Zelensky wants to drag everyone with him.
Treat Duda like an aunt, she has all your secrets; so what happens when you provoke her in public? I think you know the answer.
So, how do we come to the conclusive end of this matter? It is simple mathematics:
Did Poland participate in supplying weapons to Zelensky in order for him to defeat Putin? The answer is no!
Duda’s vision is clear; this means they were giving Zelensky weapons in order to drown him.
However one may interpret this drama/fall out, one thing is certain: what one says when they’re angry, it is in most cases the truth.
