THE Children’s Movement Organisation and the Katutura Youth Enterprise Centre, sponsored by Recon Namibia, distributed 70 hygiene packages to boys from 12 different schools in Rundu, Kavango East on Saturday.
The value of the items provided amounted to N$20,000. The recipient schools included six primary schools: Mbora Primary School, Andreas Kandjimi, Kehemu, Mbambi Central, Rudolf Ngondo, and Rundu SP, along with six secondary schools: Romanus Kamunoka, Romanus Kampungu, Rundu Senior Secondary, Noordgrens, Elias Neromba, and Andreas Kandjimi.
These hygiene packages contained essentials such as lotions, three pairs of socks, boxers, vaseline, face cloths, roll-ons, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
During the event, Lorraine Kruse, the principal of Rundu Secondary School, emphasised the importance of recognising and providing hygiene care for boys alongside girls.
