The Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade (MIT) has received a donation of items to support startups valued at N$3.5 million from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The items, which includes vehicles, furniture, and industrial machinery, is earmarked to support startup-related activities within the ministry.
Trade Minister Lucia Ipumbu expressed gratitude for the generous donation and highlighted its significance for the Startup Namibia project.
Startup Namibia, a collaborative initiative between Namibia and Germany, focuses on sustainable economic development.
The German Government, through GIZ, is actively engaged in the project, working in partnership with Namibia’s Ministry of Trade & Industrialisation, Ministry of Higher Education, Technology Innovation (MHETI), and the City of Windhoek.
