President Nangolo Mbumba has announced that the government has earmarked N$8 million in the 2024/2025 fiscal budget to breathe new life into the Kalimbeza National Rice Project.
Mbumba disclosed this during Thursday’s Independence Day celebrations in Katima Mulilo, Zambezi region.
The government, he said, has also “approved that a sugar plantation be established on part of Kalimbeza, as well as a sugar processing plant in Katima Mulilo.”
