Judge Kobus Miller has dismissed, with costs, the urgent application for release sought by the #Fishrot6 comprising of former ministers Bernhard Esau and Sacky Shanghala, former Investec managers James Hatuikulipi and Ricardo Gustavo, Tamson and Pius Mwatelulo.
The 6 will remain in custody.
The six, who are being held at the Seeis Police Station just outside Windhoek, are accused of receiving bribes amounting to N$150m from the Icelandic fishing company between 2014 and 2019.
They wanted to be released from custody and have the charges of fraud, money laundering, and tax evasion among others to be dismissed because of a faulty process involving the issuing of the warrants of arrest as well as the way they are being held in custody.
Judge Miller also struck the application off the roll.
