Etango Uranium, a uranium mine under construction in the Erongo Region with the capacity to produce an annual output of 3.5 million pounds (Mlbs) of uranium oxide (U3O8) has the potential to power 7 to 8 large nuclear reactors.

 

This was revealed in a recent presentation prepared for investors and posted on Bannerman Energy’s LinkedIn account.

 

The Etango Uranium Project, located in the Erongo Region of Namibia, has demonstrated an annual production capacity of up to 6.7 Mlbs of U3O8 after expansion.

 

According to the presentation, the mine’s uranium output could replace 25 million tons of coal used in electricity generation, significantly reducing carbon emissions.
