Economic leaders are calling for significant reforms to agricultural laws and policies to enhance output and growth in Namibia’s agricultural sector.

Recently, Otjozondjupa Governor James Eurikua called for a review of the country’s livestock marketing strategy to reduce live exports.

Similarly, Bank of Namibia Governor Johannes !Gawaxab emphasised the need for comprehensive reforms at the recent Annual Symposium.

“In a country where more than 70% of the population relies on agriculture for their livelihoods, sweeping reforms are essential for supporting growth in this sector,” stated !Gawaxab.
