Four African observer missions delivered their preliminary statements in Windhoek on 29 November regarding the Presidential and National Assembly elections that occurred across the country.
While extended voting took place on Friday and Saturday, 29 and 30 November, as per President Nangolo Mbumba’s proclamation on Thursday, the observer missions forged ahead with delivering their findings and assessments.
The African Union Electoral Observation Mission (AUEOM), the SADC Electoral Observation Mission (SEOM), the Electoral Commission Forum of Southern African Countries and the African Centre for Governance Missions delivered their statements together.
The final reports of all four missions are only expected 30 days after the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has released or announced its final results.
