1. Namibia is part of those countries that has been slapped with tariff by the US this week, this is based on 2 factors. One being that the USA has recorded a trade deficit with Namibia. This means Namibia has exported more to USA than it imported, and the USA used that to determine Namibia tariffs. Secondly, Namibia is part of SACU collective external tariff which is imposed when a SACU member import elsewhere. Economist Peter Frans, Trade analyst Arwil Viviers, Economist Charles Kakuru.

3. As of 3 April 2025, the total revenue generated from e-visas and visas on arrival has reached N$25.48 million, the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced. N$24.36 million was generated from 15,506 travellers who applied for and were issued e-visas online. Additionally, 820 travellers applied in person, contributing N$1.12 million to the total revenue.
