The Agricultural Bank of Namibia (Agribank) has announced plans to provide instalment relief totaling N$116 million to approximately 1,527 farmland and livestock account holders as part of the national drought aid program.
This was confirmed by the bank’s spokesperson, Fillemon Nangonya, earlier this week.
Nangonya stated that the N$116 million relief package would be credited to the accounts of eligible clients who have qualified for the assistance.
Agribank rolled out the drought relief interventions in July, in accordance with criteria agreed upon with the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises.
