The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) and the International University of Management (IUM) have formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing research and capacity building in taxation and revenue management.

NamRA Commissioner, Sam Shivute, during the signing ceremony last week emphasized that the partnership would foster research in taxation, support student learning, and facilitate collaboration in publications related to the field.

He also highlighted that NamRA’s strategic goal is to leverage the data they have at their disposal, aiming to enhance their data analytics capabilities. “We are excited to work with local universities like IUM to develop these critical areas,” Shivutenoted.

He further added that NamRA is committed to strengthening its research division to enable data-driven decision-making, which will assist key policymakers, including the Minister of Finance.
