The Rossing Foundation has committed N$2.4 million to provide science-related textbooks and learning materials to 18 schools across the country in this year.
The first tranche of this commitment, totaling N$782,908, was recently distributed to three schools in the Kunene, Omusati, and Ohangwena Regions.
Maria Immanuel, the Foundation’s Community Liaison Officer, clarified that this investment is a crucial element of their flagship project, ‘Learning Enhanced, Learning Accessed’ (LELA).
In collaboration with the government and partners, the LELA project strives to ensure that at least 15,000 learners have consistent access to prescribed science textbooks and tools, fostering improved learning experiences and academic performance in schools.
