Despite the high number of unemployed teachers in the country, the National Council Committee on Education, Science, ICT, and Youth Development has uncovered a prolonged delay in filling teacher vacancies.
This revelation emerged during the committee’s phase one oversight activity conducted last year in the northern parts of Namibia.
The primary objective was to investigate the underlying reasons for the high failure rate among learners who took the Namibia Senior Secondary Ordinary (NSSCO) and the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Advanced Subsidiary (NSSCAS) examinations in 2022.
