A family of five living with disabilities in Musese village, Kavango West, has benefited from a chicken-rearing project aimed at improving their quality of life.
The initiative is part of a collaboration between the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the Japanese Embassy to support livelihoods, food security, and resilience in the face of climate shocks.
On Friday, FAO and the Japanese Embassy visited two project sites in Kavango West, including the Mbanze family’s farm.
The family, consisting of father Petrus Mbanze (52), his wife, and their three daughters aged 15, 16, and 18, all living with disabilities, received 100 chickens as part of the program.
