Thirteen-year-old orphan John Kakuwa, who travelled 200 km from Divundu to Rundu to attend the memorial service of Founding President Dr. Sam Nujoma, will return to school for the first time in over two years after touching the hearts of mourners.

Kakuwa made the journey last Thursday, hoping to attend one of the seven national memorial services held across the country.

After finishing work washing a customer’s car, he requested a lift to Rundu as payment.

Visiting Rundu for the first time, Kakuwa struggled to find his way and became lost.

Fortunately, Lina Sasizo, a Good Samaritan, noticed him the following day and offered help.
