The Ministry of Finance has expressed growing concern as none of the public enterprises have yet submitted their financial reports for the 2023/2024 financial year.
According to regulations, public enterprises are required to submit their financial metrics within six months of the end of their financial year, a deadline that is slowly approaching for many entities.
This lack of adherence to reporting deadlines has become a significant issue for the Ministry, highlighting challenges in financial oversight and governance.
This issue was revealed by the Ministry’s officer for governance and financial advice, Martha Simasiku, during the launch of the Public Enterprise Legal Advice, Company Secretary, and Compliance Officers Forum this morning in Windhoek.
