Central Oil Namibia will officially commission one of its aviation fuel storage facilities at Eros Airport on 5 August 2024.
This inauguration follows the company’s investment of over N$40 million in two aviation storage projects at Eros and Ondangwa airports, marking a new era in Namibia’s aviation fuel sector.
Central Oil Namibia’s Managing Director, Thomas Iita, confirmed the investment and inauguration to Eagle FM. The provision of aviation fueling supply and aircraft refuelling services at all airports in the country has historically been controlled by multinational entities, with no local participation.
