The Demarcation and Delimitation Commission has recommended adjustments to regional and constituency boundaries instead of establishing new ones.

The Chairperson of the Commission, Petrus Unenegu, said they rejected various proposals to establish new regions because they were mindful of the risks associated with tribal and ethnic segregation.

Such divisions could undermine Namibia’s peace and stability, according to him.

He made these remarks when he presented the Commission’s report to President Nangolo Mbumba at State House yesterday.
