Hyphen, the company piloting the development of green hydrogen in Namibia has secured funding amounting to about N$95 million to propel engineering, environmental, and socioeconomic development initiatives associated with its projects.
This followed the finalisation of a funding partnership agreement between Hyphen Hydrogen Energy and the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA).
According to Hyphen, the money is designated to partially fund various aspects of the project’s development leading up to the final investment decision.
Hyphen expressed that this funding reflects the DBSA’s confidence in the Hyphen initiative, currently undertaking the full-scale development of a green hydrogen project in southern Namibia, projected for completion by the end of this decade.
