Olsen Kahiriri, a political activist who had served various political parties, says he is no “political grasshopper”. Kahiriri, who also served as a trade unionist, said changing political parties does not make him a “political grasshopper” as alluded by some of his critics.
Kahiriri is contesting the regional councillor position for the wide Katutura East Constituency on a Landless People’s Movement’s ticket.
He told Eagle FM’s Home Run programme on Friday that he has been changing parties just as any person changes jobs.
Kahiriri said he is prepared to lead the constituency and bring about development.
“I want to use my experience in the sport to bring it at the forefront an a unified and a development tool for the constituency.
