Many aspiring farmers struggle with indecision, uncertain about which farming ventures are most lucrative.
For Penepandulo Fillemon, a farmer from Okalongo in the Omusati region, the answer lay in something unique: mushrooms.
Fillemon’s journey began shortly after she completed Grade 12 at Mweshipandeka Secondary School in 2009. She secured a job at a local retailer in November that year.
Using savings from her salary, she left her job to pursue further studies. In 2014, she completed an office administration course at the Namwater Vocational School in Okahandja.
