President Nangolo Mbumba has urged farmers to increase crop production to help the country achieve food self-sufficiency amid ongoing drought challenges.
Mbumba, currently on a three-day visit to the Kavango regions, emphasised the importance of enhancing food security and supporting agricultural initiatives to address Namibia’s drought impact.
During his tour, Mbumba visited the Sikondo, Uvhungu-vhungu, and Mashare Green Scheme projects.
He is scheduled to visit the Ndonga Linena and Shadikongoro green schemes on Friday and the Musese green scheme in Kavango West on Sunday.
