A decline in local horticulture production has led the Namibian Agronomic Board (NAB) to limit the restriction on imported horticultural products to just six crops in November, down from 12 restricted crops a year ago.

Emilie Abraham, NAB’s Manager of Horticulture Market Development, told Eagle FM that improved preparation is needed next year to help farmers meet local demand. Currently, almost 14 crops are open for import, compared to only seven last November.
