Namibia and Lesotho are actively exploring ways to tap into the potential of the automotive manufacturing sector.

Both countries, under the support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), are working to deepen their industrial development through this key sector.

Olayinka Bandele from UNECA highlighted that the commission is providing support to both nations to navigate the automotive industry.

This assistance aims to mobilise resources and track each country’s progress toward industrialisation milestones.

“In order to deepen their industrial development through the automotive sector. This would result in the mobilisation of resources for implementation and to monitor each nation’s industrial progress as they deliver on their industrialisation milestones,” Bandele noted.
