Minister of Agriculture, Water and Land Calle says Namibia is looking for partners to facilitate the export of lamb to China.

While Namibia has successfully exported beef to the Chinese market, the export of lamb is still in progress.

In August 2024, the country announced plans to sign a protocol with China, officially opening the Asian market to Namibian lamb.

During a community engagement in Leonardville, Schlettwein emphasised Namibia’s strategy of replicating its beef export model to gain access to lucrative international markets, including China and the United States.f to other key markets, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Norway.
