WHALE Rock Cement workers will receive a wage and related benefits boost following recent successful negotiations between their employer and the Mineworkers Union.
As part of this groundbreaking agreement, every union member employed at Whale Rock Cement will enjoy a 6% wage increase.
The agreement announced yesterday includes a substantial rise in housing allowance and supplementary benefits for the concerned workers.
The Mineworkers Union of Namibia (MUN) Secretary General George Ampweya said the agreement was the result of productive negotiations with the company on behalf of the bargaining unit’s members.
