The decision to award a catering tender for World Malaria Day and SADC Malaria Day to a company based outside of Kavango West region has ignited controversy within the region’s business community.
The upcoming events, scheduled for 10 November, will be celebrated in Nkurenkuru under the theme “Resilient Health System and Communities Key to Malaria Elimination.”
The catering and event service deal in question, valued at about N$340 000, was awarded to Tateeya Investment cc, owned by Remind Ekandjo, popularly known as DJ Remind.
Tateeya Investment will not only provide catering for the event, expected to host more than 300 attendees, but also handle decorations and cleaning services.
