The Windhoek City Council has decided to offer 358 hectares of land valued at N$358 million as settlement for a historical loan of N$357.7 million owed to the central government.
Additionally, the accrued interest on this 20-year loan will be written-off.
The City’s spokesperson Lydia Amutenya confirmed this proposal to The Villager last week, noting that they will provide updates on the negotiation’s outcome once finalised.
