The First National Bank Namibia (FNB) has stated that there is no evidence suggesting its employees were complicit in recent fraud and scam incidents that have made headlines.
Two FNB clients recently fell victim to sophisticated scams, losing substantial sums of money. Among them was a retired teacher who was deceived into revealing personal information, resulting in a staggering loss of N$1.1 million.
Just a week earlier, a farmer suffered a similar fate, losing N$2.7 million to fraudsters.
These incidents have raised public concerns, prompting demands for the bank to clarify its stance on the matter.
