RECON Namibia on Saturday handed over ten community boreholes to the Kavango East and West regions.
Five boreholes were allocated to villages in Kavango West: Sondorokeni, Runone, Mankete, Kapembe, and Kapenene.
The remaining five boreholes went to Kavango East, benefiting the villages of Siguruguru, Tjeye, Kayova, Rundjarara, and Kangongo.
Recon Africa’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Brian Reinborough, expressed his dismay over reports of crocodile attacks, which have resulted from human-wildlife conflicts in the region, often due to people relying on the river for water.
