The government has provided 200 mattresses, 200 blankets, 50 tents and small cooking stoves to assist victims of the devastating flood that affected approximately 282 households in the Khomas region on January 04.
This is part of the concerted effort between the Office of the Prime Minister, the Windhoek Municipality, and the Khomas Regional Council to provide relief to those affected by the flood.
According to Ringo Mutambo, Chief Public Relations Officer in the Office of the Prime Minister, the government has also distributed relief packages containing food items such as tuna fish, cooking oil, luncheon rolls and rice to the affected families.
