The sellers of the farms Rainhoff and Wolfsgrund, sold to Russian billionaire Rashid Sardarov in 2018, have been summoned by Judge Orben Sibeya to clarify their involvement in the controversial deal.

The farms, located east of Windhoek and north of Dordabis, were sold to Sardarov, who later donated them to the government.

He then leased the farms back from the state on a 99-year lease following an agreement with then-Land Reform Minister Utoni Nujoma.
