The Ondangwa Town Council has extended support to six local teams by providing them with football and volleyball equipment valued at N$93,745 in a bid to bolster sports development at the town.
The beneficiary teams include SOS Volleyball Academy, Ondangwa Soccer Academy, Young Braves FC, Ondangwa United FC, Mama Love FC, and KK Palace FC.
Mayor Paavo Amwele expressed his satisfaction with the initiative, emphasising its significance in engaging and nurturing young talent.
