Windhoek recorded a 5.2% year-on-year (y/y) increase in approved building plans this January, with the city’s municipality approving 74 building plans valued at N$47 million.
Despite this growth in approvals, the total value of the plans decreased by 12.1% y/y.
According to data compiled by IJG, 38 building plans valued at N$48.7 million were completed in January, marking a significant 22.6% y/y increase in the number of completed plans and a 2.7% y/y rise in total value.
Over the past 12 months, the number of completed building plans surged by 72.2% y/y, while their total value grew by 9.0%.
