In 1994, a 6.7-magnitude earthquake rocked Los Angeles at 4:30 a.m. The shaking woke residents, who discovered the power had gone out citywide. Some left their houses lo and behold the night sky the sky. Some people looked at the night view of the milky way galaxy and became so nervous that they called the police to report the strange phenomenon.
