1. The Ministry of Mines, Energy, and Industry’s announcement regarding fuel price adjustments is driven by the over-recovery in fuel pricing. To address this over-recovery, the Ministry has decided to adjust the fuel prices by increasing the cost of petrol and diesel. The following changes will be made: Petrol prices will decrease by 50 cents per liter, Both grades of diesel (50ppm and 10ppm) will reduce by 80 cents per liter.
2. A new initiative by FNB Namibia will see women-led businesses gain access to tailored financial solutions designed to address their unique challenges. The bank on Thursday launched H.E.R. Banking—short for Helping Everywoman Rise—as part of its ongoing commitment to inclusivity and support for female entrepreneurs.
3. The welcoming ceremony for Julius Hamunyera Hambyuka, the newly appointed regional governor of Kavango East, took place today at the office previously held by former governor Bonifatius Wakudumo, where the official handover was conducted.
4. According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), more than 20% of occupations globally will experience changes as a result of labor-market disruptions by 2030. According to the WEF’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, these trends are due to the emergence of frontier technologies, the green transition, shifting demographics, and geo-economic dispersion.
