*For the its inception, Namdia has crossed the N$400 million mile, in terms of profit after tax, which was mainly driven by revenue growth. A revenue of around N$ 3 billion, an increase of N$1.2 billion from N$1.9 billion from the previous financial year. Namdia`s profits have increased from N$144 million to N$409 million, which is mainly driven by caractage. The carats that Namdia has been able to market has grown from 222 000 to 278 000 carats.

*The police in the Kavango West region have reported the theft of a water pump element that is used to pump water as stolen. The pump is valued at N$35 000 as the report was done on Friday night at the Siko village in Kavango West region.

*TransNamib would likely be retrenching some of its workers later this year. According to one if its workers who opted to remain unanimous, the company last week failed to pay the workers medical aid which then lead to the company informing the workers of the possible retrenchmet.

The worker mentioned that, the company`s reason for the possible retrenchment is because of lack of funds.
