How do we effectively Utilize the Public Procurement Process for Local Empowerment?

The government has planned to spend around N$25 billion in the local economy for the financial year 2025/26. This will be done through the public procurement mechanisms within the Procurement Act and Regulations.

There is some level of dissatisfaction from the business community, on how the Public Procurement works.

We engaged former Central Procurement Board chairperson Mr. Patrick Swartz on how the public procurement process can be used to effectively empower and stimulate the local economy.
